I’ve been in a position, like many others, where these extra large weed grinders just don’t make sense. Sometimes you want something you can carry in your pocket, maybe you want something that is easy to use discretely, or maybe you just want something for smoking on the go. Whatever it may be, I’ve searched around the web and ordered a few of the different kinds of tiny portable weed grinders out there. This is a list of some of the best tiny portable weed grinders available on the market after doing some pretty extensive research. It’s important to note that each one of these grinders are from what I would call different grinder categories. I’ll explain why later in this post.
If you would also like to look at some jumbo weed grinders, we have an article here for the best ones available.
Advantages to a Small Grinder
As I mentioned earlier, large grinders are not always the best option for certain situations. The advantages to small grinders are the portability, ability to be discrete, and the lower price as compared to a large grinder.
However, small grinders do have their limitations. The biggest limitation is the amount of cannabis you can grind at a time. If you use one of these smaller grinders regularly, you’ll probably be grinding cannabis, A LOT!
What Makes a Good Grinder
There is only a few things that make a grinder good in my eyes. First of all, the grinder has to have sharp teeth that can make grinding cannabis effrotless. That’s what they’re designed for after all. They also need to have longevitiy. A good grinder is durable, reliable, and should last you a pretty long while without breaking or becoming difficult to use.
Best Tiny Portable Weed Grinders
These grinders are not in any particular order because as I mentioned earlier, they are all in what I would call different categories of tiny portable grinders. I’m going to make up some names for the different categories of miniature grinders. I’ll list them off in order they appear below this paragraph. You have the standard mini grinder, the two piece back pocket grinder, the card grinder, the keychain grinder, and the small electric grinder. There is plenty of good alternatives in each category but these are the ones I got my hands on and liked. There are a few grinders I got my hands on that I didnt include on this list because they did not meet my expectations.
This grinder is a pretty standard small grinder. It is a three-piece grinder with a crystal catcher. The dimensions of this grinder are 1.2 inches wide by 1.6 inches tall. It has diamond shaped teeth and overall a pretty solid build quality. This grinder is definitel tiny but it’s still going to be seen if you want to put it in your pocket. The best way I can describe this grinder is that it’s your basic three-piece grinder in a tiny portable form.
If you’re familliar with grinders you probably know of Santa Cruz Shredders. They have uniquely shaped teeth but they’re the best grinder manufacturers out there in my eyes. This grinder is 2.2 inches wide and a little over 0.5 inches tall. It’s wider than some of the other grinders in the list but it’s a 2 piece grinder that can fit in your pocket. Another cool thing about this grinder is that it’s made out of hemp! It’s 100% biodegradable.
If you’ve never seen one of these before, you’re not alone. Not a lot of people know about these grinder cards but they are amazing for smoking on the go! Having a grinder that you can slide in your wallet checks every box for portability, discreteness, and affordability. There are plenty of other options out there for grinder cards but this one by Green Goddess Supply is the one I got my hands on. I know that RAW also makes something very similar which you can find here. Overall I really like having this grinder in my back pocket, litterally!
This next grinder is more of a novelty item but it is portable and it’s definitely small. This is a two-piece grinder with a width of 1.5 inches and height of 0.6 inches. It has an attachement for you to hook this onto your keychain. However, if discreteness is something your going for, this might not be the best option for you.
Also, it’s important to note that it might not be the best idea to attach drug paraphernalia to your car keys. This might be obvious to most but I feel like it’s important to note.
The Lonzen electric herb grinder is one of my favourites. It’s easy to use, fits in your pocket, and definitely has that “cool” factor. The only two downsides to this grinder are that it’s pretty loud when you’re using it and it’s more expensive than some of the others on the list.
This grinder is six-inches long and one-inch in diameter. This is a grinder I’ve been using for a while now and it’s held up pretty well. If you can afford it, I’d say go for it.
